The Brass Gallery Rail end post secures the starting and ending points of your gallery rail system, providing an aesthetic finishing touch while preventing objects on bookshelves, kitchen shelves, or bar counters from falling. It mounts easily on solid wood, marble, and glass shelves — all necessary mounting screws are included.

Designed to complete your gallery rail system, this end post is fully compatible with our Center Posts and Solid Brass Rods.
Understanding the Posts
- End Post — Used at the end of a run, single hole
- Corner Post — 90-degree corner, used to return the rail along the depth of the shelf
- Through Post — Rod runs straight through, used for spacing or joining two rods together
We don't recommend spacing posts more than 10"-12" (25-30cm) apart. If the rail runs along the front of your shelving, use end posts at each end and through posts every 8"-14". If it runs along the front and sides, use corner posts and end posts.
Choosing Your Rod Length
Order rods between 6" (15.2cm) and 36" (91cm) depending on your shelf size. Rods should be about 2" (5cm) smaller than your shelf measurement. Brass is a soft metal and can be easily cut with a hacksaw — sand the cut ends for a smooth fit. Join two rods using a Through Post for sizes larger than 38".
Example: What to Order
For an 80cm x 20cm open shelf:
- 2x End Post, 2x Corner Post, 2x Through Post
- 1x 30" (76cm) Rod, 2x 6" (15.2cm) Rod
For a 70cm closed shelf:
- 2x End Post, 1x Through Post, 1x 26" (66cm) Rod
Installation
All posts feature top connecting elements and assemble easily with a screwdriver. For glass or marble surfaces, attach using adhesive or silicone.
